The online gambling landscape is constantly changing, with new rules and legislation being introduced to ensure responsible gambling practices. One of the latest UKGC requirements that are likely to come into force soon is that operators must tailor betting limits for online slot machines based on the age of their customers. How do you Flow it?
Start your Flow on a customer login.
The flow is triggered on a login event; we then get the player details from the operators PAM and continue our flow by converting the date format into unix so that we can easily compare it with the current timestamp to calculate the customer’s age (in cases where this is not available directly from the PAM or in the trigger event).
We then continue the flow by checking if the customer’s age is less than 25, and if it is, we continue to add 1 point to the customer’s RG score. In this case, we add a lock first so that the point is only counted once per customer. We finish the flow by informing the RG team.
We can also expand this flow to remove 1 point when the customer turns 25. As well as add-on alerts and/or actions if the RG score goes above a specific limit.
